Passail is my home village.
The municipality of
Passail has its own goverment that makes decisions about local affairs.
On an area of 13,79 qkm live about 2.000 inhabitants.
Its geographical position: Passail is 40 km away to the
north of Graz, the Styrian capital, and 15 km away to the southwest of
Weiz, the district town. Passail is 653 m above sea level.
Passail is ordered by four municipalities:
1) Fladnitz an der Teichalm westwards
2) Hohenau an der Raab eastwards

4) Tulwitz southwestwards
Passail is on the main road (B 64) from Weiz to Frohnleiten (38 km)
Passail has a good
infrastructure: Transport, communications, banking system, health
service, a village with many leisure amenities, comprehensive
education, well situated for business and jobs, good living conditions
for joung and old peaple.
The nearly mountain pasture of Teichalm and Sommeralm is the
greatest one of Centraleurope. This area - 15 km away from Passail - is
covered with grass and is used for callte to feed on. There are
restaurants by a lake. With a small boat you can move through the water
with oars. The pasture is within driving distance in 15 minutes.
The Raab River
flows through Passail. The river is here only 2 m wide, its water is of
best quality. The river rises in Osser, a montain 1648 m high, 8 km
away to the north of Passail. The Raab River is 256 km long and flows
into the Danube in Hungary.
Another two rivers around Passail: The Tober River and the Moder River.
